Weeks 33 and 34

Week 33 went by REALLY fast. My mom was in town! I was so happy to have someone to run around with all week. She took me out to lunch almost everyday, took Tyler and I to the movies, and baked some casseroles to freeze so Tyler and I will have easy meals to eat. What a great mom, eh? She also threw me a great baby shower, that I will post pictures of as soon as I get some. Woody came up on Saturday and he and my mom took Tyler and I to lunch at the Cracker Barrel and we saw another movie! We had so much fun. I'm really sad they're gone.

Week 34 is going by a little slower. I had another doctor appointment yesterday. Everything still looks great! Nothing exciting to report. My next appointment is the week after next and then I have one every week after that. Whoa.
I think I've found a Lamaze class that both Tyler and I can go to. I'm really excited. We'll start sometime next week. I kinda wanted to try hypnobirthing, but I was WAY too late to sign up for a class. Oops.
Still haven't picked a name. I've always had this vision of me naming my baby and I always thought that I could never decide on a name until I see the kid. So I think that's what we'll do. We've narrowed it down and we'll pick the one that fits.

32 Weeks

32 Weeks already? Yes. I can't believe January is already half way over. I thought time would be going slower now that I have less on my plate. Life doesn't seem to be slowing down. I'm feeling alright. I got a little sick Monday night and am still recovering. Luckily it was just a cold so I was only miserable for a couple of days/nights. I feel much better now. I still can't figure out where I caught it.

I had a doctor appointment this week. Everything still looks great. We also started our prenatal classes. I thought they were a lot of fun. I think it'll be more fun next week. We're going to watch some videos on pain management and birth and take a tour of the hospital. This week we discussed the discomforts of pregnancy and stages of labor. About half way through the class I turned to Tyler and said, "I've changed my mind; let's wait awhile before having a baby." I guess it's too late now, eh? Now that I've had time for it to sink in a little, I feel better about it all. I can do it. It's scary because I've never done it, but I believe that my body is capable and I've decided to embrace the unknown and the pain rather than be freaked out by it. How does it go, if ye are prepared ye shall not fear? Something like that. I go back and forth, but today I feel okay about the whole process. Today I can't wait for my little boy to be here!

31 Weeks

Yes, that's right, here I am at 31 weeks. I've discovered sciatic pain this week. I'm glad that it's a new thing and that I didn't have it while I was still in school. That would have been torture. So thank goodness for staying at home! I can lie down whenever I want and that's awesome. I have lots of time to think and dream about my little Peanut. Sometimes that's a good thing, sometimes it's not. I did have a cute little dream about being able to feel his foot. It was kinda weird because in the dream, he kicked, and out of my stomach was the impression of his tiny foot. I can't wait until I hold him for real!

We still haven't picked a name. It's hard - the business of naming people. Tyler narrowed it down to William and Derek but I keep trying names out on him. Quentin Tyler? Matthew Tyler? Ezra Tyler? Nicholas Tyler? I like William Tyler and Derek Tyler too. We can't seem to pick one though!

He's doing well, my little Peanut. He's kicking away, which I still love. I worry all the time about him. I wish I could do another ultrasound. In one of my crazy dreams, I had another ultrasound and the baby looked like a nine month old baby. It was weird. I hope he's a-cookin' well. He's supposed to be a little over 3 pounds now and is accumulating fat. He loves music and his daddy's voice. We were playing Guitar Hero: World Tour with Karl and Jessica the other night and Tyler was on the microphone singing. Baby kicked every time Tyler sang. It was really cute.

And More Freaking Out

I worked my very last shift at BYU INFO yesterday! I thought I'd be relieved. I'm not. I didn't expect to feel so anxious about everything! I don't have a job. I don't have school. I am going to have a baby. I'm freaking out. I've had school for the last 18 and 1/2 years! I haven't been out of work for 8 years. I feel like I should be contributing to our finances especially since we're barely surviving right now but I'm not exactly in the best position to be hired for anything right now. Who is going to hire someone who is 7 months pregnant and planning on leaving in a couple of months? I'm freaking out.

On a happier note, Tyler's got a job interview tomorrow (Tuesday) with US Bank. It could mean a job closer to home and closer to our financial need. So keep him in your prayers tonight and tomorrow! Thanks! We'll let you know how it goes.

Week 30

10(ish) more weeks? What? Okay, I'm starting to freak out a little bit. I was fine, not worried at all, until New Year's Eve. Happy New Year by the way. When it was still 2008, March of 09 felt so far away. Now it seems like just around the corner. It IS just around the corner.

I had another doctor appointment at the beginning of this week. Everything still looks great! His heartbeat was the slowest it has ever been (123) and that worries me but my doctor said it was normal. He's still moving around a bunch and I love it. Here's what I look like this week:

Another Year Older

My birthday was Tuesday of this week. It turned out to be a pretty great day, even if the first little bit was marred by worry. At 12:15am, I got a call from my mother. I thought she was calling to give me my first "happy birthday" of the day. That wasn't the call I received. She said that my little sister, Sabrina, had been in a car accident earlier that day and was in the hospital. She was driving a BMW and had a head-on collision, due to black ice, with another BMW on Highway 202 in Tehachapi. Both drivers, by some kind of miracle, survived. Bree is, besides being scratched, bruised, and feeling ache-y everywhere, doing well(as well as can be expected, I suppose). We are very blessed. I am so grateful that she's okay. I hope she knows how much I love her. Keep her in your prayers.

The rest of my day was pretty great. I slept in, which was extra great since I didn't sleep well because of the whole worrying about my sister thing. I went to the Primrose Retreat in Spanish Fork at 2:30 for a maternity massage. That was my birthday present from Tyler. It was amazing. They have a special table with a big bowl for your belly so that you can lie on your stomach for the massage. I could have stayed in that table for hours. I miss being on my tummy! It was relaxing and fabulous. After my massage, I read in the "relaxation room" until Ashley came to join me. She got a manicure while I got a pedicure. I was pampered and it was wonderful. We also shared a pink champagne cupcake.

We had dinner with friends at Red Robin and then friends and family came over to help eat the Coldstone Birthday Cake with which Tyler surprised me. Aw, that sweet husband of mine. Here I am opening my presents:

The items in the picture are some of the clothes I got from the Prestgards. Cute cute! They also gave me some baby scrapbook paper, a Friskers paper cutter, and some more cute maternity clothes. I received lots of cute Disney and baby scrapbook items from Shanda and Kensington. Kensington took the credit for picking out everything. She's a little cutie.

Anyways, thanks for all the birthday wishes and Happy New Year to you all! Loves!
