Christmas!

Merry Christmas! Hope it was a good one for everybody! We had a great time here in Utah. Dad and Bree came up on Christmas Eve. We did some last minute Christmas shopping and went to dinner at Mimi's Cafe. My favorite part was opening our Christmas Eve presents. Tyler and I bought pajamas for each other and for Dad and Bree.
Here we are modeling our new jammies.

Christmas morning we opened presents at our house. It was our first Christmas at this house!

Dad's got some shoes from Dan and Choka. He was totally surprised! He loves them.

Bree gave Tyler MarioKart. We played it a lot while Bree and Dad were here. We even made Dad play. We also made him play Mario Party. He won. I'm really glad Bree gave Tyler such a sweet present. Tyler loves it.

Dad gave me Dr. Marten shoes and a maternity swimming suit. Tyler gave me a beautiful heart necklace that I LOVE.

What a cute little sister I have.

I gave Tyler the first season of "How I Met Your Mother" and Karl and Jessica gave us the second season. Not planned and pretty cool.

After we opened presents, we went to the movies with the Prestgard/Nuila clan. We saw "Marley and Me" and I thought it was a little long. It was probably a really good book but not the best movie. It was fun to see it with everyone though! Tyler LOVES going to the movies.
Then we went over to the Prestgard's house, opened more presents and ate dinner. It was very lovely. We got lots of great things from Ma and Pa Prestgard, including gift cards for dinner, clothing, and a scentsy candle!
Dinner was fabulous!
So we had a great Christmas. We really enjoyed being around so much family! I'm kinda sad that it's over. Another favorite moment was when we got to hear Zayaa and Danny wish us a Merry Christmas over the phone. It was precious. I miss those little boogers (Ariunaa too, of course). Good thing we still have Kensington close!

Week 29

Here I am at week 29. It's been a good week. I'll try to get some Christmas pictures up soon, although, I didn't take very many.

Peanut kicked like crazy this week. Tyler and I have fun just watching my stomach jump. The little thing is supposed to be fattening up right now. Hopefully I don't fatten up too much with him. It's a struggle to go shopping when it's crowded. I already feel like that old cliche - a bull in a china shop. I'll be walking and Tyler will disappear for a moment. When I turn around, I find my wonderful husband picking up things that I knocked off of shelves without even knowing it. Oops!

It's Beginning to Look a lot Like Christmas

Here is our first real tree together. Isn't it beautiful? I didn't realize that it was so huge until we brought it into the house. They always look smaller outside! I love the way it makes our house smell.

Christmas 2008

We celebrated Christmas early with Dan, Choka, Zayaa, Danny, Ariunaa, Mom and Woody this year. Dan, my awesome brother, was chosen for an internship with Google in New York and they left on December 20th. I'm glad we got to have a little Christmas with them before they moved!

On Monday of this week we had a CRAZY snowstorm! I was supposed to run some errands but couldn't in my car. I worked at 5pm and Tyler had to come home a little bit early to drive me to work. We'll have a white Christmas! It's beautiful but kinda scary if you have to drive.

Awww, my poor, sweet, hard-working husband shoveling snow.

That's my car, buried in the snow. Tyler went out much later that evening and shoveled all around my car and a pathway out of the parking lot so that I could leave this morning with no problems. How great is he?

Week 28

Here I am, in the third trimester. Can you believe it? The first two trimesters went by really fast and I'm afraid that this last one is going to drag on. I won't have school or work (after January 4th) to distract me anymore!

According to "What to Expect When You're Expecting," Peanut can now blink. He's kicking a lot now and I absolutely love it. I want to lay in bed all day and relish the movement of new life. It's just the sweetest little feeling in the whole world.

Finished

You may now officially congratulate me. I finished my very last final at BYU at 6:00 pm on Friday. Look at me, Ma, I'm a college graduate!

Pregnancy Update

I'm in the last week of the second trimester! I can't believe it's gone by so fast. I'm still feeling pretty good. I'm tired ALL THE TIME and am experiencing heartburn for the first time in my life, but other than that, I'm feeling great. This is the last week of classes of my last semester at BYU. Next week is finals and then I'm officially finished! I can't wait for it all to be over. I'm just so tired.

I had a prenatal Dr. visit yesterday and everything is just about normal. I had the glucose screening test and passed but was low on hemoglobin levels, so they suggested I take an iron supplement. That's probably contributing to my general fatigue.

Here are the latest preggy pics of yours truly:

At 20 weeks.

At 22 weeks. Week 21 has been the only picture we forgot to take.

Week 23. I had a bad hair day. I think i look like a grasshopper.

Week 24.

Week 25 with an even worse hair day. This one is not even grasshopper hair.

Week 26.

Week 27 - this week.

As you can see, I'm getting bigger. I'm getting more and more excited for the little one to come! Peanut is supposed to be the size of a cauliflower now. He kicks a lot and I now get nauseated over almost anything. I almost threw up in primary. One of my 7 year olds picked his nose and I had to run outside with my hand over my mouth and clear my head of the images of his booger on his finger.

I can't eat most meat, which is probably why I'm borderline anemic. Chicken and hamburger taste like cardboard. Turkey tastes like.. on second thought, I'll spare you on what I think turkey tastes like. I do, however, still like chicken nuggets. And the only thing I ever feel like eating are 7-layer burritos from Taco Bell.

I'll try to put up one of those pregnancy tickers soon.

Thanksgiving Break

Happy Thanksgiving!

We had a great break filled with friends, family, and lots of food. We were lucky enough to be able to attend two Thanksgiving dinners, which were both delicious. We had lunch with my family. Dan and Choka did a great job with cooking all that food. Dan's turkey is delicious but my favorite part was his sweet potatoes. I could have eaten the whole pan. The best part was that Dad, Bree, Mom and Woody came to celebrate with us.

We had dinner with Tyler's family after that at a church in Lindon. It was a lot of fun to be around Tyler's extended family on his mom's side. We had turkey and ham, mashed and sweet potatoes, and three different kinds of pies: chocolate, key lime, and cookie. We were very full by the end. We played a couple of games (I won both games we played) and Wayne and Yvonne sang karaoke.

I carried around my camera all day but this is the only picture that was taken:

Christof and Kensington dancing

Tyler took the picture. I don't know what my deal was. I should have been taking tons of pictures, especially because I actually tried to look nice that day! I'm glad that if only one picture was taken, it was this one. It was a really cute daddy-daughter moment.

Dad, Mom, Woody, Dan, Choka, Bree, Zayaa, Danny, Ariunaa, and I met Tyler at IKEA on Saturday for lunch. I was so sick that I didn't really feel much like meatballs, but I ate some noodles. I started feeling sick Thursday night and still don't feel all that great. I don't know what it was, but I think it suffices to say that I won't be able to eat any kind of Thanksgiving food for a very long time. Anyways, back to IKEA. We love IKEA. We even took some pictures to document the trip.

Headless. Speechless. Can you tell which one is me? And I don't know why I didn't move my hand. I should have. That kinda looks silly. Oh well. I still love this picture.

Mom and Woody

Ariunaa and Danny

Cute cute baby.

Danny loves chocolate cake. He loves chocolate anything, really.

Awww. Cho and Nina.

Sisters.

Dad, Bree, and crazy Chuluun.

After IKEA, Tyler and I went home to say bye to Bree and Dad. We took a nap. Then we went up to Gardner Village to shop and dine with Mom and Woody. Mom picked out some beautiful quilts. My favorite store was "Sassy Baby" where we picked out a present for Peanut and Danny. Woody bought Danny a dinosaur puppet and Peanut got the cutest little polka dotted beanie. Here's Tyler enjoying the "kid's only" playroom:

Aww, isn't he cute.

Woody bought me a present too. I fell in love with this diaper bag by Petunia Pickle Bottom. It is beautiful! I cannot wait to use it! It was really nice of him to spoil me that way. Thanks, Woody!

All in all, it was a great Thanksgiving break. I'm kinda sad to be back at work and school. There's only 17 more days left of the semester! Wish me luck on my research paper, diagnostic report, quizzes, tests, and finals that all have to be completed within the next couple of weeks!
