A Little Help

Hey! We need some help. Derek is having some allergy problems and we have to get rid of PepperAnn. We're really sad about it and would love to see her go to a good home with a loving family. She's 9 months old and is so fun and sweet. She loves to be around people, cuddle, and play. She has no claws in her front paws, is spayed, and is up to date with all of her shots. She's also covered up until September if she needs to go to the vet - the appointment would already be paid for. She's really a good little kitty. Does anybody know of a good home for her? Please help. We love her but our poor little boy is suffering. It would also be great if we could find somebody as soon as possible! Thanks and we love you all!

Week 5

We haven't done much to speak of. We have been home-bodies. We all got a minor little cold and sniffled through the last week. I haven't really felt like going anywhere. We got out of the house for a little bit today. I had to exchange the bridesmaids dress for Jessie's wedding. My poor little body isn't so little anymore. We went to Hogi-Yogi for dinner and walked through Target. I found some jeans for only 15 dollars and was so excited because I have nothing to wear at the moment. My maternity clothes are getting too big and all my regular clothes are too small. They didn't have any in my size though. So sad. I'll keep looking for those good deals. I keep wishing that I'll just be able to fit into my pants soon. Wish wish wish.

Derek is so fun. He coos and smiles at us and turns our hearts into goo. Connie and Rob Anderson came to visit us on Sunday. It was really fun to see them and to share our little bundle of joy.

Here's just a couple of pictures from the week. If you want to see more, there are lots more on my Facebook page.

You have to stay hydrated, ya know? Derek carried my Vitamin Water upstairs for me.

I love this picture. The outfit Derek is wearing is the first one that I bought after I found out I was having a boy. I love the little dinosaur hat.

We got his picture taken on Saturday. We got a couple of smiles out of him. This picture is the one that we bought in the package.

One Month!

I cannot believe that my baby is one month old!! We're having so much fun! He's growing so fast and I wish he'd slow down a bit. He barely fits into the 0-3 month clothing items now.

My mom left at the beginning of this week and I'm really sad about that. I feel like a huge baby cause I miss her so much. It was so nice to have family around. My sister and dad were here for a couple of days too. Everyone left around the same time and I'm just sad that they're gone. They were just such a huge help! I got so used to having my mom around. It was pretty great. I don't think I would have made it without her. We're doing good by ourselves now though. I'm enjoying just chilling at home rocking my little rock-star to sleep. Derek and I always look forward to Tyler coming home.

Here's a few pictures from the last week.

Asleep at the wheel.

Grandma Walker teased the poor little guy with some cake from Mimi's cafe. She just put it up to his nose so he could smell it. He loved it. He kept smiling.

He really wanted that cake!

This is his blessing outfit. He's kinda placed funny in the swing. You can kind of see how long his arms are. He's got such long limbs! Maybe he'll be a tall boy. Perhaps a basketball player? His daddy would sure like that!

And this is my favorite picture so far. He looks like a little angel! All the kids in my family have pictures of us as babies, naked on a lambskin rug. I wanted to take the same picture of him. We kept his onesie on though because we were in a store. I put the rug on top of a bunch of towels in a big box. We thought we'd better leave some clothing on just in case he peed. We didn't have 35 dollars to buy the thing. Isn't this just adorable?

We love our baby Derek!

Happy Easter and Derek's Baby Blessing

Happy Easter to everyone! What a beautiful sunny day to celebrate our Savior and the Atonement! It was a great day that we celebrated with family and friends.

Here's Derek's first Easter basket:

Tyler blessed baby Derek in church as well. It was a beautiful blessing and I was quite the proud little mama. Thanks to all those that came! We appreciate the love and support.

Well Baby

Derek had his Well Baby check up this last week. He's healthy and happy. He does have ankyloglossia, more commonly known as "tongue-tie" and it's affecting feeding. We have an appointment with an ENT to get it clipped on Monday. I'm excited that it will be easier to feed him but I'm not excited for him to go through that. So sad! I was there when my niece had the procedure done and it was a little traumatic. They say it's painless but her scream is still engraved in my memory. My mom will still be in town and Tyler might come to the appointment with us. I'm so glad that I don't have to go alone! My poor baby.

At the health center, they put hot water in a glove to put on the heel to warm it before they draw blood. Derek loved it. He kept smiling. It was adorable.

He now weighs 8 lbs. 15 oz. and is 21.25 inches long.

Cuddling with Daddy.

This is at Pier 1 Imports. I love this elephant table!

Week 3

Here's just a few pictures from the week. Enjoy!
